absolutely 0 idea of what happened here, but i see you won. $$$$$$$$$$$
The hands actually not very interesting at all. I just thought it was hilarious that I beat her in a stud hand (even if I did suck out pretty hard to do it).

Not sure I fully understand the bring in, then raise.
Not sure exactly what you’re confused about but here’s my go at an explanation of the hand. In stud after everyone has anted and been dealt their door cards the lowest card showing is required to either post a “bring-in” or “complete” a small bet. It is fairly standard to always post the smaller “bring-in” so your range isn’t unbalanced and you don’t give something away about your hand by sometimes completing. It’s folded around to me in the best steal position (similar to the button) and I complete showing a Ten. She re-raises me with (A4)4. While a pair of 4s isn’t a great hand, the Ace kicker vastly improves it as she still has 4 more streets to make aces up (though one of the aces is dead in my hand but she doesn’t know that) and my hand range is expected to be pretty weak here since I’m in the steal position. She was 58% on third street vs the hand I was holding. On 6th street I raised for a free card/semibluff with my 4 flush in the off chances she folds, and if not planning to check back 7th street for the same price if I miss, or if I hit like I did, bet and win an extra bet in the hand.
I don’t know stud theory whatsoever, I just know the general play of the hands and whatnot. I wasn’t understanding why she was bringing in and reraising you with 4A(4). I did not think about the probability that she makes aces up, which is not trivial. I wasn’t criticizing anyone’s play, just confused about the theory behidn it. Thanks for the clarification!
nh btw
So, you beat her? Good for you! Congrats!
